Florence Livonia Hyde (d. 1920) & Mary Kerr Hyde (d. 1906)

This signature is that of Florence Livonia Hyde and her mother Mary Kerr Hyde. The Kerr family came to Solano County in 1869 via Panama. In 1877, Mary wed Asa Fillmore Hyde who had crossed the plains as a two year old with his father and young sister. His mother had died of cholera at the outset of the voyage west. Florence was born in 1879 and is enumerated with her parents on their Silveyville farm in the 1900 census. Mary Kerr Hyde died in 1906 at age 48 and Florence died in 1920; both are buried in the Silveyville/Dixon Cemetery.
